Dear Members of the ACM CCS Community:

Ever since we announced the final decision on the participation format as Hybrid conference of ACM CCS 2021, we are experiencing and facing another COVID-19 pandemic situation with delta variant. Due to this issue, unfortunately, we have to announce again that ACM CCS 2021 will be held in the fully virtual format.

We are very sorry to announce this unfortunate news. Since the COVID-19 pandemic arose in early March last year, the committee in local decided to postpone the final decision on the participation format of ACM CCS 2021 till June 2021 to go in hybrid format to meet our attendees from abroad, however, we had to finalize the format to fully virtual conference again. It is because, even though we all see that that vaccinations are going pretty well, the situation is rapidly changing every day due to the delta variant and we cannot simply assume that the travel restriction would be relaxed. Especially in Korea right now, since numbers of confirmed cases is still increasing, committee members had decided not to push ahead. This is also because other than having the conference in person, we believe staying well and health is the most important at this time.

Committee members of ACM CCS 2021 sincerely wished to meet our members and participants in person to re-experience the classical way of academic gathering again, and it is our regret that we, again, have to meet you all in virtual. Nevertheless, we are also sure that ACM CCS 2021 will give you another inspiration throughout the conference.

Detailed information for our authors and participants will be announced via the website soon, so please keep your eyes on the announcement not to miss any updated news. We are looking forward to seeing everyone again in Seoul, South Korea in the near future just like before the pandemic.
