Directions

Parking:
HAW Hamburg is located in the city center. Therefore, the availability of free parking space around the conference location is limited. There is no parking place reserved for the participants of WiSec 2011. You can use the public park house at Berliner Tor 3 that costs 1.50€ per hour. You can reach HAW Hamburg with public transport very comfortably. We recommend you to travel by taxi, S-Bahn (suburban train), or U-Bahn (subway).

By Car:
Please use the direction service provided by Google Maps.

By Train:
You will arrive at the main railway station of Hamburg (Hamburg Hauptbahnhof). Follow the signs to the Underground line 1 (U1). Take underground line U1 in direction Farmsen. Leave the underground at the stop Lohmühlenstrasse. It takes about 3 minutes from the main railway station. Take the exit in direction to "Berliner Tor" from the underground station. The conference building, Berliner Tor 21, is about 50m away from the underground station. You can get tickets (cost 1.30 EUR) at vending machines.

By Plane:
You will arrive at the Hamburg airport (Hamburg Flughafen). Take the suburban rail network line S1 (S-Bahn) to reach the main railway station of Hamburg. S1 operates every 10 minutes and it takes about 25 min. From the main railway station, please take the underground line U1 to reach HAW Hamburg as described above. The suburban rail station at the airport is in front of the terminals. You can get tickets (cost 2.80 EUR) at vending machines.
