CCS will include demonstration sessions to provide a forum for presenting and discussing research and industry demonstrations of new applications or techniques, working prototypes, testbeds, and systems that illustrate novel approaches in computer and communications security. These sessions offer an opportunity for authors to showcase practical implementations, tools, and early-stage systems, and to engage directly with conference participants.
One of the key goals of the ACM CCS conference is to foster collaboration between industry and academia. Participation of researchers and developers from industry, as well as demonstrations reporting on joint work between industry and academia, are therefore especially encouraged.
Demonstration sessions will be held in person.
Demonstrations are solicited that present systems, tools, or platforms, including work-in-progress, late-breaking implementations, or demonstrations that extend previously published research on security- and privacy-related topics. Authors are asked to submit a short proposal describing the system or prototype to be demonstrated and its main contributions. Proposals should contain a brief abstract, emphasize the motivation for the work, describe the system or implementation being demonstrated, and summarize the key capabilities or insights provided by the demonstration. Preliminary results or evaluation results may also be included. Submitted proposals must not substantially overlap with papers that have been published or accepted for publication, or that are simultaneously in submission to a journal, conference, or workshop with published proceedings. The list of authors cannot be changed after submission or acceptance. Demonstration proposals will be evaluated primarily on their potential to showcase practical systems, stimulate engaging discussions, facilitate the exchange of ideas, and promote collaborations.
Authors of accepted demonstration proposals will be provided instructions for preparing and presenting their demonstrations. Demonstration sessions will be held in person, and at least one author of each accepted demonstration must attend the conference to present the system live. A standing desk with a power connection will be provided for each demo presentation.
Proposals should adhere to the ACM double-column format with a maximum of 3 pages (including title, abstract, content, and references). Proposals are single-blinded and MUST CONTAIN the authors’ names, affiliations, and contact information. The title must start with “DEMO:”. The proposal must also include a link to the demo artifact (e.g., a deployed system or instructions for running and testing the artifact), which reviewers will use to evaluate the submission.
Submissions that are not formatted as described above may be rejected without review. All submissions must designate a single corresponding author. To be included in the conference program, at least one presenter per accepted demonstration must register for the conference. Presented demonstrations will be published in the conference proceedings.
