Announcement:
ACM CCS 2021 is going as a Hybrid Format

ACM CCS 2021, November 15-19

Dear Members of the ACM CCS Community:

Ever since the COVID-19 pandemic arose in early March last year, the committee in local decided to postpone the final decision on the participation format of ACM CCS 2021 till June 2021, because it could be sort of a meaningless decision if we decided earlier than June even we were reflecting the latest recent global situation. After all, the situation was extremely changing every day.

While monitoring the situation (with positive hopes of smooth vaccination plans worldwide before our conference), the local committee all agreed the vaccinations are going pretty well and this even will be much better before the conference period for letting attendees physically join the conference from overseas in November.

With the idea above, we have decided to hold ACM CCS 2021 as a hybrid format that allows both virtual and in-person attendance. But as the Korean government announced its mandatory two-week quarantine will be exempted to the travelers who have received their COVID-19 vaccine shots overseas, visiting with the purpose of business, academics or the public interest, etc. from starting July 1, we strongly encourage all attendees and speakers to travel and join the conference in Seoul, South Korea.

We will keep posting and share the latest COVID-19 related news in South Korea on the webpage "COVID-19 Related Information", so please keep your eyes on the latest COVID-19 situations in South Korea and hope we all can "RE-EXPERIENCE" the classical way of academic gathering again just like before the pandemic as we always did.

Sincerely,
ACM CCS 2021 Local Organizing Committee:
